Client: A New York City restaurant chain. $20,000 per week delivery orders in our ACT / POS System.
Our client decided to centralize the order-taking process away from each individual restaurant to a centralized call center. The client needed a food delivery order-taking POS system that linked to their ACT! database and to their Aloha POS food menu system. Keeping the data in ACT! was important so they could continue to build their marketing efforts.
The system is as easy to use as ACT!, with major feature enhancements: by going to a contact record in ACT! and clicking the “New Order” button, the user can click on a virtual menu driven POS system to build the order. Orders are stored in ACT! and in a back end database for further reporting.
Using a Terminal Services Network to Link the delivery hubs with the central order-taking center, ACT! has become a full fledged POS, CRM and order notification system between the call center and the restaurant staff at several different locations throughout the city.
All menu items and prices are dynamically updated as the restaurants central Aloha menu system gets updated: basically, we have linked ACT! and Aloha POS system for the client.
